13 Things Only Pregnant Women Can Tell You

Being pregnant can be overwhelming. There’s tons of information out there on how to successfully bring your child into the world. This can make you feel very guilty when you do it differently. Everyone has an opinion about it, but you really only want to listen to mothers who have already experienced it themselves. Therefore, mother to mother advice is the best advice you are going to get. We will list 13 things for you that you will only hear from other mothers.

1. You’re in the shape of your life

Especially in the first few weeks of your pregnancy, you will look great physically. This is because you often lose a few pounds, you radiate happiness from every pore of your body and your breasts get bigger. So come outside and show it to the world!

2. Your sex life will change

You’ll find that your sex life is going to change. Because of your hormones, your sex drive can strongly decrease (or increase). But don’t panic! After a while, this will recover.

3. Enjoy the pregnancy

Sometimes being pregnant is no fun. That’s why you should enjoy all the benefits that are offered to you. People will stand up for you on the bus, your husband will do everything for you and your mother and mother-in-law will also be all too happy to help. So enjoy it!

4. Mind the baby belly

The baby belly; people (and certainly other women) get hysterical when they see your belly. They just want to feel it for a moment. Don’t feel comfortable with this? Then tell them. It is your body, so you decide.

5. Embrace the change

Your body’s going change anyway. It’s inevitable, so you might as well embrace it. You’re going to give birth to a wonderful child. Accept the (temporary) change of your body and look forward to the moment that your little one comes into the world.

6. Be prepared

Preparing for the arrival of your baby is very important. So do it while you still can. Don’t wait until the last moment, as you don’t want to experience stress just before the baby is born.

7. Childbirth = childbirth

Childbirth is childbirth. Whether it’s a natural childbirth or a caesarean section, it’s going to be messy and painful, but it’ll also be one of the most amazing things you’ll ever experience. Either way, try to enjoy it.

8. Be creative with clothes

Pregnancy clothing can be very expensive. So be creative and ask for some advice in your favorite clothing store. There are plenty of options for clothing that you can still wear after pregnancy.

9. Relax

This is very important! Allow yourself some rest while you still can.

10. Keep the end goal in sight

Sometimes pregnancy can be really tough. Always keep the end goal in mind. You’re going to give birth to a beautiful little baby!

11. Keep the gender a secret

Not knowing the gender of the little one is worth considering. It may be uncomfortable and cause surprises, but it also gives you a degree of freedom if you don’t know the sex yet.

12. Keep moving

Keep moving during pregnancy. Not exercising enough can cause you to become stiff, making pregnancy even more difficult. Even if you go for walks, exercise is, and remains, important.

13. Don’t dread giving birth

The delivery may seem tough now, but don’t be afraid. Once you’re in labor, it doesn’t matter anymore. Get rid of your shame, it makes the delivery a lot easier.

And most important of all: enjoy your pregnancy!
